Hello Dr. Drew:

I hope all is well with you in Houston. I know my old friends in Bellaire are carpooling to work, and I am wondering when they will start skateboarding! Perhaps when gasoline hits $10.

I just wanted to let you know that "my" Juniors (EXIT LEVEL) scored 98% PASS RATE on TAKS. I got results this past week. I attribute this level of success to your direct support, re: in-service, and the fact that we used what you shared with us.

Thanks you and your team very much!! We look forward to doing even better next year. (This group was also 1st in the district*.) (*District = breaking ground this week for 6th public high school and over 60 campuses now; not quite HISD-size, but growing more rapidly.

I really like the program because the students have extra opportunities to read well-designed Triplets with passages that appeal to their interests. They also have the opportunity to re-do their answers until they get a 70% or a "sufficient" in the open-ended answers. I let my students do their writing in a Word Document so they can save their answers. Then they can copy and paste their answers into the Triplet Ticket answer boxes and click on the save / score button. They can rework their answers until they have a "sufficient" or higher score. I let the students pre-write on the essay topic. Then they type in Word. Then they copy and paste it into the correct box. This process gives them immediate feedback and shows them how a few corrections / changes can make a difference between passing and failing. My students scored quite well on the TAKS test (96%). I give credit to your program for providing an innovative, student-friendly, and teacher-friendly approach to practice not only TAKS skills, but good writing skills which will serve the students well in the future. I am a very grateful fan of your "teacher helper"!

What a pleasure it was having you on our high school campus! The teachers are still raving about your presentation. I guess it's your 18+ years of classroom experience that gives you such high credibility with our classroom teachers. Every issue or concern that was raised during the session was quickly addressed in a professional and practical manner. It's obvious that you are currently in the classroom because of your ability to relate to the audience. I believe I am correct to say your passion is reaching and teaching students. I found Nancy Drew's in-service very well spent. I could see how well thought out and how intelligent her Triplet Ticket is. She also presented it very well, with lots of humor and requests for any improvement we could suggest. For teachers struggling to prepare students for the TAKS as well as meet their other objectives, it seems to me a great way to give students practice both in reading, methodical thinking and making applications, as well as putting thoughts into writing. I also think the readings are interesting and the self-correcting nature of the program allows the student to work at own pace and compete against self. How could you lose?

I believe that using the Triplet Ticket helped me with the reading comprehension portion of the PSAT and the SAT. I will be taking the TAKS this spring and I feel that the Triplet Ticket will be just as beneficial as it has been for the PSAT and SAT. Important aspects of the Triplet Ticket software is the immediate feedback on the tests, the challenging and interesting reading sections, and the privacy in which a student may work. I also found the site very user friendly.

I am not very computer literate so the first thing that I found with the Triplet Ticket is that I was able to move through the program quickly and easily. The individual reading selections held my attention and the questions pertaining to those selections were thorough and relevant. I was amazed at how the program was able to quickly return feedback on the graded portions. A plus to this particular program is the ability to retake tests to improve your capabilities. I believe that the Triplet Ticket would benefit students who wish to improve their reading comprehension.
